James began his marine career with a brief period as a trainee sailmaker at North Sails, but quickly moved onto the regatta circuit, sailing as a bowman, and working on boat build, refit and maintenance projects. He spent many successful years on the World Match Racing Tour, as well as competing in the Admiral’s Cup, Med Cup and many other top flight events.
James raced in the 2003 America’s Cup with GBR Challenge. He slowly moved into project management and has brought to life a succession of high profile and successful racing boats.

Born and raised in Bognor Regis, Graham learned to sail at the local yacht club. After training as a sailmaker, Graham ran his own company, Technique Sails, specialising in multihull sails. During this period he won two Multihull National Championships and took line honours three times in the Round the Island Race. Graham was on the crew of Pete Goss’s ill-fated Team Phillips catamaran, for which he designed and built the sails. Graham Goff joins Land Rover BAR as Crane Manager from his previous job as Wing and Platform Logistics Manager at the 34th America's Cup. In Graham’s spare time he enjoys flying (as a qualified pilot), multihull racing and reading.

Helen grew up in the East End of London, working on the markets with limited access to boats … until her brothers discovered sailing on the River Lea. School trips and friends provided further opportunities and as soon as she could escape school Helen started to travel, spending 10 years in Cyprus, Sweden, America, the UK and Italy doing everything from working for the Ministry of Defence to running a car hire office and working in summer, skiing and sailing resorts.
Helen then went back to school, graduating from Southampton with a degree in Maritime Environmental Management. She then worked as a Forest Ranger and with the Coastguard Agency, before joining Offshore Challenges (now OC Sport) in 2000 and starting on her current path of managing sailing events and teams. Helen has worked on the Vendée Globe, Route du Rhum, Transat Jacques Vabre, Jules Verne Record, ISAF Youth Sailing Worlds, for the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Volvo Ocean Race, Asian Games, Extreme Sailing Series and the Olympics, this will be her first America’s Cup.

Ian ‘Mucky’ McCabe is originally from Margate, Kent is a trained shipwright and has many years boatbuilding experience working on everything from Open 60s, Extreme 40s, Volvo Open 70s and Maxi Cats.
He has worked with three Vendee Globe teams, as well as on the Route du Rhum and multiple Fastnet Races, Round Britain and Ireland races and a BT Global Challenge. He also worked on the GBR Challenge’s America’s Cup campaign, based in both Cowes, UK and Auckland, New Zealand and has sailed many dinghies and catamarans in European and National Championships, and completed two trans-Atlantic crossings. Ian is a boat builder working with the shore team, tasked with the daily maintenance, repairs and modifications of the boats.

Born in Portsmouth, Mark previously worked in the construction industry for six years sandwiched between a year working in Spain. Mark was part of the construction team which built the home of Land Rover BAR and was taken onto the team after the completion of the building works.

Originally from Glasgow, Chris started sailing at a young age competing in numerous youth campaigns including the Fastnets and Round Britain and Ireland. Chris has been with Team Aqua since 2009 as their offside trimmer and the last 5 years as Boat Captain also, winning four consecutive RC44 Championships. In 2015, he secured the course record for the 151 mile Cowes – St Malo Yacht Race on-board Leopard 3. In 2009/2010 Chris spent 6 months working for BWM Oracle USA in reconnaissance. He has also worked in Rigging support throughout the TP52 fleet when not with the RC44 circuit. In his spare time, Chris enjoys cycling, sailing his Moth and going to the gym.

Clifford was born in Waterford, Ireland and sailed for Ireland. Clifford joins the Land Rover BAR team as a boat builder with previous America’s Cup and Volvo Ocean Race experience having been on the build team for Prada 31st America’s Cup and Ericsson for the 2005 Volvo Ocean Race. Clifford has been a team leader at Magma Structures building the rigs for The White Pearl, spent six years working with Alex Thompson Racing as a member of the shore crew and has worked on various projects as a freelance boat builder. In his spare time, Clifford sails, spends time with his family working on the family house and is a handy carpenter.

Richy has been sailing since he was five years old, he started in dinghies in Nefyn in North Wales. He studied Yacht Manufacture and Surveying at Solent University, before starting work in boat maintenance and management, maintaining a wide range of high performance racing craft.

Born in Malta – to a family from Portsmouth, UK, and now living in Portugal – Ian spent his youth sailing around the Solent on his father’s Victory Class boat, and racing various inshore and offshore craft. He attended school at St John’s College in Southsea. At the age of 16, Ian began a four-year sailmaking apprenticeship at Lucas Sails with famous local sailmaker Peter Lucas. At the age of 21, he joined Williams Lancaster Sails, the company was eventually absorbed into first Diamond Sails and later North Sails. Ian then moved to Minden, Nevada to join the North 3DL production unit to help oversee their America’s Cup work in the build up to the event in 2000. He was Loft Manager for Alinghi between 2001-2010, before being Sail Loft Manager for America’s Cup Race Management between 2011-2012 and Luna Rossa in 2012-2015.
