HOW ELECTRIC SCOOTER WORKS?

The two main kinds of batteries in use are the lead acid and the Lithium-ion, respectively. They are the two most powerful batteries that can generate the required levels of electrical energy.
It connects the batteries to a motor. The motor is the one that converts the electrical energy to torque or motion power. It is this torque that makes the wheels rotate to move the scooter from one point to another. Some scooters rotate both wheels whereas, in some, only the back wheel rotates. The exact portion where the motor is mounted also varies from the scooter to the scooter. However, in most scooters, it is mounted on the frame. It is the motor that determines the limit or maximum range that the scooter may travel for an amount of charge.
To start the electric scooter, it turns a key on at the front. This action of turning the key prompts the motor to convert electrical energy into motion power. The motor thereafter transmits the motion power to the wheel or wheels to make the scooter move. It carries this transmission out through a complex network of wires otherwise known as the belt. It is the electrical energy that further propels the scooter throughout the duration it is in transit.
Just like ordinary cars, the scooters can also speed up, decelerate, and vary the torque. There are special knobs and control apparatus on the dashboard of the scooter. It is through these control apparatus you get to vary the said parameters.
To decelerate, it only requires the rider to press the handbrake or the pedal tightly. In this way, the amount of rotational force the wheel receives from the motor reduces. This subsequently decelerates the scooter. To vary the torque, the gear has to be shifted upwards or downwards. If a mountain has to be confronted, the gear has to shift downwards, and vice versa.
Most electric scooters can attain a maximum speed of just about 25 to 30kph and a maximum range of only 10 to 40 miles per charge.
